Biography

Born in Milan he takes his first steps in the world of audiovisual communication, spanning fashion, music, and experimental works. From the early 1990s he begins collaborations with some famous international singers and designers: among others Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti, Dolce & Gabbana, Madonna, Isabella Rossellini, Eva Green, Kimi Raikkonen, Roberto Baggio, Rafa Nadal, Boris Becker. He creates music videos, fashion films, and advertising spots that have redesigned the aesthetics of the advertising world and created new qualitative standards in advertising. In 2003, together with three partners, he founded the production company THE FAMILY, with which he remained tied until 2013.

He collaborates with prestigious brands such as Fiat, Bulgari, Barilla, Maserati, Audi, Alitalia, Pirelli, Riva Yachts… Many of his films receive numerous recognitions and awards worldwide (Cannes Film Festival, Clio, New York Film Festival). In particular, the BMW spot series establishes Brugia’s name on the international advertising stage, leading him to direct numerous productions in Italy and abroad. Some of his spots become part of the Permanent Audiovisual Foundation of the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid. In 2020 he directed an auteur short film (commissioned by Riva Yachts) starring Pierfrancesco Favino. The film – a tribute to Italian cinema and the city of Venice – premiered at the 77th Venice International Film Festival,. His latest production, also for Riva Yachts, is a spectacular action short film created to celebrate the brand’s 180th anniversary. Starring: Pierfrancesco Favino, David Beckham, Charles Leclerc.
